Stitch Group Christmas Party

First, another Kogin finish!  Isn't this a gorgeous bag?

I was having such a good time stitching, I forgot to take many pictures during the stitching time.

After stitching, we had delicious home made pizza and Christmas cake.

These are the only snowmen we'll see in our town.

Work In Progress Wednesday - Fob Finish and More

I finished five fobs that were given as gifts to the stitch group ladies.

I stitched a little more on my kogin project, one of the 17 in 2017.

The Shimizuko Line

While out for a walk, I came across this.

The sign is new and in English so I crossed from the walking path, over the biking path to read and take photos.

I didn't know about this railway line.  I read a little more about it on Wikipedia.  I want to ask someone who might remember about it, but it has been a long time ago.  Every place in Japan holds on to so much history.

Seishun Ju Hachi Kippu

One of my students told me about a special deal the JR train company offers three times a year. For 11,850 yen, you can purchase five one day train passes that can be used all over Japan on local and rapid trains (not on Shikansen or express trains).

The current time period is December 10th - January 10th. Yes, I bought the five ticket package!

Where do you think I will go?

Stitch Group This and That

Last week I got together with three stitch group members.  One had her finished crazy quilt bag to show.

One finished the pull tags on her kogin lingerie bag, so now it is finished finished.

We all worked on felt snowman ornaments, which will be continued next time.

Next time we meet will be a Christmas Party!

Not the Ethnic Restaurant and Akihabara

I met two of my friends for lunch out.  They wanted to eat at the "ethnic restaurant", but we changed our plans because everything served at this place had bits of meat.  Instead we ate at S. Colina, and it was delicious.

After lunch, we visited Akihabara Shrine.  Later in December there is a festival here that I want to attend.  (It involves fire).

I had a good day and look forward to getting together again soon.
