Busshozan Onsen

(All photos in today's post came from the internet.)

Sunday morning I took the train to Takamatsu and went to the Busshozan Onsen. The travel websites have chosen this place as one of the top things to do in Takamatsu.  As you enter the facility and put your shoes away, there is a ticket machine.  The cost is 600 yen for adults. After buying the ticket, you present it to the woman at the entry desk.

There is a large open area before getting to the bath area for people to sit and read or eat or relax.

The women's side of the bath area has one indoor bath and three outdoor. One of the outdoor is cool and two are hot.  I went back and forth between the hot and the cool. I was surprised that the cool bath felt so refreshing after being in the hot water. Some people stayed in the cool the entire time. The outdoor area has small maple trees and plants.  There is no television, like at some outdoor onsen areas.  It was very peaceful and relaxing.

I'm sure I will go back again.
