Another New Member

Our little group grows – we had another new stitcher join us this week. I rearranged the furniture in our tiny apartment so the five of us could sit around our little two person table.

One of our “old” members is almost finished with her beaded necklace and the other “old” member finished hers. Didn’t it turn out nice?

We started a new project – an applique bird.  As usual, I don’t have the Japanese vocabulary to explain what we are doing, so I pulled out this little practice piece from an applique class I took years ago to show what we are doing.

Here are the colors I chose for my little bird.

This is how much I have done so far.

Ted and his students spent the night in Sapporo, then went to the airport again early yesterday morning.  Luckily, they were able to get a flight to Narita, then their original flight to the US, a day late.  They should be landing any minute now.  They have a short layover and another short flight to their final destination. It’ll still be yesterday when they land!

Nice to have a new memeber iven if it means you need to move furniture around!
Having a sample is a great way when words can not explain how something is done.
Nice exotic bird! Beautiful necklace.
Good to know teacher and students are on track, but isn't time strange? Yesterday is in the future!
